Thank You!
I’d like to share a few words about a very good and long-time friend of mine, Robert T. Fisher, MD, a very highly respected Frederick based orthopedic surgeon … and yes, such a good friend that I have entrusted him to cut and repair my knees three different times!
It was an honor to be invited to his retirement party last June 14th at the Delaplaine Center in downtown Frederick. For all the years I’ve known him, that evening was very special for so many reasons.
For those who know him, Bob is a man of few words, but he has a heart as big as the universe. Unless you know him well, you may never know that about him. Just ask his former employees!
He’s that quiet guy who loves his wife, children and grandchildren well beyond words. He is truly dedicated to them, but that commitment barely nudges out his passion for … fishing! Yes, Bob Fisher is a true fisherman in every sense of the word. No doubt about it, he loves to fish … I’ve been out with more than a few times … and let me tell you he knows his stuff. If it’s not the Potomac River or Lake Anna in Virginia, he’s in northern Canada or bone fishing in the BVI’s.
I have a lot to learn with casting a reel, but Bob and I share one thing in common for sure … we love our ball caps! The bond is over the fact that while I have been steadily losing my hair for years, Bob’s has been gone for a long time … and there is just something about covering your cranium when there’s little to none left of that “masculine-mane!”
But more than anything this short post is intended to say thank you to my good friend for entrusting me with his commercial real estate ventures over the last 30 plus years. He’s invested wisely and successfully in relation to his business … and I must thank him for entrusting me in nearly all his CRE transactions over those years. Most recently, MacRo, Ltd. has sold two of his medical buildings that totaled $2.3 million.
Thank you, Bob, for the trust that you have placed in me … but more than anything thanks for the friendship.
