Krista McGowan was unanimously elected president of the East Frederick Rising board Tuesday.
According to their website, East Frederick Rising is a community group that wants to revitalize the east side of Frederick. We’d like to see the east side developed according to “smart growth” principles. That means a walkable mix of businesses and residences, similar to what the city’s historic district is like now.
