Started by lifelong dog lovers Becky and Tim Clarke, The Dirty Dawg is a family owned and operated self-service dog wash, providing a fun, affordable, safe, and convenient way for dog owners to meet basic grooming needs for their beloved canine companions.  In addition to the self-serve grooming stations, they offer a “boutique” style selection of pet food, treats, and supplies. Their goal is to have a curated selection of items that their customers, both two-legged and four-legged, will love.

The Dirty Dawg’s “Grand Opening” event is from 12pm – 4pm on Saturday, August 13 at 224 N. Church Street, Thurmont, Maryland.  Bring your dogs for their first wash at The Dirty Dawg and check out the store.  There will be giveaways and raffle prizes, a food truck (SmoQed BBQ) on site, and plenty of fun.

On August 14, 2022, the day following their Grand Opening, they will officially begin their regular business hours.

The Dirty Dawg signed a lease for 2,442 square feet of space for their new DIY Dog Wash & Pet Supplies retail store, and Ashleigh Kiggans, Vice President at MacRo, Ltd., coordinated this transaction between the landlord and the tenant.
