A very good cross section of Frederick County residents is represented among the list of 52 applicants for the Broad of County Commissioner’s proposed Charter Writing Committee.
Board President Blaine Young stated that he is pleased with the diversity of those seeking a position on what could be a 7 member body.
In order for this committee to put together a package that will appeal to the voters in a 2012 ballot proposal, it will be critical that the commissioners carefully select a representatives of diverse political views, while at the same time being assured that those individuals have a strong knowledge and experience with governance structures.
This will be a daunting task!
