MacRo Plays Role in Improvements to Frederick County Public Schools’ Bus Facilities.
MacRo Commercial Real Estate was recently in the news for its role in the approval of a multi-million dollar overhaul of FCPS’s (Frederick County Public Schools) bus facilities.
MacRo Vice President Dave Wilkinson and President Rocky Mackintosh provided consulting services to FCPS, assisting in the preparation of a recommendation report to the Board of Education.
Working collaboratively with FCPS’s Bus Facility Study Team, MacRo analyzed several scenarios for meeting the school district’s current and future transportation requirements. MacRo provided estimates of the capital cost and benefits for each scenario which were used to develop a recommended plan which was presented to, and approved by, the Board of Education.
MacRo is proud of the role it played in moving this project forward, which, according to some, is decades overdue and essential to modernizing FCPS’s transportation services. The new facilities will help assure safe and reliable transportation for the 30,000+ students that currently rely on bus transportation to and from school
